KEY STAGE 4 – YEARS 10 AND 11
To aid a smooth transfer to the upper site at the start of Year 10, pupils and parents are offered a series of staff consultations and guidance programmes. Once studying at the Upper site, pupils of all abilities are encouraged to maximize their potential through focused learning in small classes and study groups.
Those who started a GCSE course in Year 9 will continue the course in Year 10. Those who did not start a GCSE course in Year 9 will study either Triple Science or ICT for one year.
In addition to the core subjects of Maths, English Literature, English Language, RE, Science, a modern foreign language and PHSCE, students will also be able to choose additional subjects. These include Art, Business Studies, Child Development, Dance, Drama, Engineering, Food and Nutrition, Geography, Graphics, Health and Social Care, History, ICT, Music, PE, Texttiles, Resistant Materials and an additional Foreign Language (French, Spanish or German). Some Diploma courses and applied GCSEs are also offered.
Year on year, the majority of All Saints students attain outstanding GCSE results, with most achieving at least 5 GCSEs Grades A-C including Maths, English and Science.
