The successful Oxbridge applicants from All Saints. In what is a massively pressured and competitive application process, we had 8 students throw their hats into the ring this year, 7 of them were invited for interview and 5 received offers of a place.
This continues a tradition of success with 6 securing offers in each of the last two years and 5 the year before that. Mr Stavridis, Head of Sixth Form, commented “I am immensely proud of them all, those receiving offers are very deserving of them and those who were unsuccessful will showcase their tremendous talents at other universities that will be lucky to have them. For over 70% of those interviewed to receive an offer is tremendous and underlines the quality of our programme of support, devised by our careers co-ordinator, Mrs Sharon Bilton”.
The Oxbridge programme starts in October of Y12 and includes presentations from admissions tutors from the Universities, an interview workshop, liaison with allocated mentors, mock interview practice and ongoing coaching by previously successful students who are happy to return to the school.
