The school continues to
progress, achieving its best ever A Level and GCSE results again
this year. These exam results have topped off an amazing year
in which we celebrated our Silver Jubilee with a Mass in the
Minster, celebrated by the Bishop of Middlesbrough, The Right
Reverend Bishop Drainey. OFSTED also rated many areas as
'Outstanding' in our inspection this year.
What is so pleasing is that
students of all abilities have exceeded their targets and some of
the individual achievements have been astonishing! Twenty
seven Year 11 students achieved over 8 or more A* and A grades, ten
students achieved over 10 of these top grades! Some of the
biggest smiles were on some of our special needs students.
All our students deserve to be
so proud of their achievements.
Peter Cannings, the Chair of
Governors, said; "I would like to congratulate everybody and express
my gratitude to all the staff for their care for each individual
student and their continuing drive and determination.
It has been a packed year full
of events and celebrations and everyone has worked so hard. I
am very proud of what the students have achieved and I would like to
thank all the parents, staff and Governors for their continued
support.
