An International School

We were thrilled to hear in September 2007 that our application for the prestigious International Schools Award had been successful. Not only that, but the British Council were so impressed with everything going on at All Saints that they asked to use our portfolio as training material for other schools. One of the criteria for success is that the international ethos is embedded across the school so it is a real tribute to the many different curriculum areas whose work is reflected in the portfolio. Our thanks go to Mick Green, who in his role as International Coordinator put together a really impressive portfolio. As ever we are also grateful to Mrs Moore, our Language College PA.

This section of the website gives you a flavour of what being a Language College means for All Saints. There will soon be more information about the courses we run in the ‘departments’ section of the website. Look out for a link, but in the meantime, why not also have a look at our pilot French ‘blog’. You can find it at: www.allsaintslanguagesblog.typepad.co.uk

There are activities of interest to all year groups.

Text Box: Across the country there are currently only 250 schools which have languages as their main specialism. Government funding for All Saints as a Language College has allowed us to develop a rich and varied curriculum.
Oval: French, German, Spanish and Italian are taught throughout the school, with Mandarin Chinese as a Sixth Form option
Oval: Masterclasses
in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Modern Greek and British Sign Language
Oval: Additional staffing to make smaller class sizes wherever possible
