I accompanied two groups of Year 12 Business students to a National Business Competition run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. The students worked alongside a business mentor on a case study to identify key risks and opportunities facing the business, and recommend future growth strategies. They had to present their findings to a panel of judges, in front of a room full of competing schools. All of our students did an excellent job with both their analysis and delivery, and the judge in his summing up, said the overall judgement was a difficult one. I’m pleased to announce that our team of girls (Mim Leather, Millie Conroy, Grace Brown and Ciara Wallace) were crowned winners of this regional heat and are now through to the final, which takes place at the end of June.
Well done to all of our students who opted to take part in this competition and congratulations to our winning group!
